How is ThreeClaws different from ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot?
Those are general-purpose AI tools you log into. ThreeClaws is three specialized agents — VERA, Nexus, and Clara — already configured for your business, each with its own job. You text VERA for research and drafting. You text Nexus for status and to add tasks to TaskClaw. You email Clara to direct your client communication. You don't log into anything. And on the Local tier, the AI runs on your own hardware so your data never leaves the building.
What's the real difference between Cloud and Local?
The agents and the service are identical. The difference is where the AI itself runs. On Cloud, the AI model is hosted by a managed provider; your local data stays on your machine and only the working context is sent to the model. On Local, the AI runs on a server in your office and nothing is transmitted to any external service for inference. Local is the right answer if you handle confidential client data — legal, medical, financial. Cloud is the right answer if you don't and you want the lowest-barrier path to live agents.
Is this compliant with bar ethics and HIPAA?
Local was built specifically with these obligations in mind. Because inference happens on hardware you own and no client data is transmitted to a third-party AI provider, the compliance posture is meaningfully easier to defend than cloud-based alternatives. That said, ultimate responsibility for compliance with your professional rules rests with you — not with us. We're glad to walk through the architecture with your compliance officer or co-counsel during the demo.
Why are you cheaper than Harvey, Spellbook, and the enterprise legal AI tools?
Those tools are built for big firms with risk teams and procurement departments. They're priced for that market. ThreeClaws is built for solo and small-team professionals. The agents do the day-to-day work that a small business actually needs — drafting, follow-up, intake, content — without the enterprise overhead. Different customer, different price.
What hardware will I need?
Both deployments need a small always-on machine in your office — that's where all three agents live, where messages route through, and where scheduled jobs and content publishing happen. Typically a Mac Mini base model. On Local, that same machine is upgraded to handle the AI model itself, so it's larger and more capable. The exact hardware is selected together on the demo call based on your needs, and you buy it directly — we don't mark up hardware.
What if I outgrow my tier?
Easy upgrade. Cloud Basic to Cloud Custom, Local Core to Local Premier, or Cloud to Local — all paths are supported. You pay the difference in setup fees and your monthly retainer adjusts. Your agents and your data carry over.
What happens if you stop running ThreeClaws?
On Local, your hardware is yours — the agents and your data sit in your office regardless. On Cloud, we'd give you 90 days notice and help you transition. ThreeClaws isn't a SaaS that locks your data hostage; it's a service that builds agents you own.
Do I have to use iMessage or Signal? Can I use something else?
iMessage and Signal are how VERA and Nexus reach you on your phone — chosen for end-to-end encryption and because everyone already has them. Clara works over email because that's how client communication tends to start anyway. We can also add Slack, Microsoft Teams, or web interfaces for specific workflows on the Custom tier. The phone-text-and-email interface is a deliberate choice because it's the lowest-friction way to actually use AI all day long, but it's not the only option.
How fast can you have me running?
Cloud Basic typically goes live within a week of the demo call. Cloud Custom takes about two weeks. Local Core and Local Premier take two to three weeks because hardware needs to be ordered, set up, and configured in your office.
Can I see this working before I commit?
Yes — that's what the demo call is for. 30 minutes, you see the agents running live, and we figure out together what your version would look like. No commitment.
